Sarawak kolomi can be found easily at the local food stall in Kuching, no matter where you go, sure you can find your favourite taste of kolomi. The original taste of kolomi especially the "white" one bring back my childhood memory... its taste let me recall those time when my "ama" bought me the tasty mi I ever ate. Then some kind of evolution happen on this kolomi and it suddenly go "red". It taste a little bit sweet because of the adding of "cha shio" juice. In my primary school time, I with my classmates like to go to the "大排档" (store) near by to have one before we go back to school for the afternoon sections. We always order the "kosong " kolomi which is only 60 sen per bowl (it's cheap!), and it always come with a bowl of soup free of charge (of course it's also "kosong"!). It taste good when you adding pepper into the soup.
